Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A record total of 1808 vehicles was produced by ERF Ltd in the year 1969-70, an increase of' 27+ per cent over the previous year. This is revealed in the annual report of ERF (Holdings) Ltd in which the chairman, Mr Peter Foden, says: "This very large increase in units produced was a result of increased capacity, improved methods, higher productivity and the excellent co-operation of our distributor network throughout the world."

He reports that planning difficulties prevented the start on the new service and spares depot, but it is hoped to start building shortly on a 10-acre site within a few miles of the Sandbach factory.

As recorded in CM on July 17, profits before tax were a record £734,761.
