Range of Wing Mirrors ANEW range of wing mirrors, designed specifically for cars but suitable also for use on small vans of course, has been introduced by Wingard Ltd. These mirrors, called Reflex, are available in two shapes—round and asymetrical. There will be a choice of either flat or convex glasses and long or short arms.

Heads and arms are cast from mazak to B.S. 1004A specification. A feature of the head design is a dish-shaped cavity at

the rear face which allows greater angular movement for adjustment and a greater field of vision. Both shapes of head conform to all Continental -regulations. They have no sharp edges or projections.

The mirror can be easily mounted to the wing as only one hole has to be drilled. As the stem is non-handed it will fit to right or left of the vehicle by releasing the clamp cap (held to the stem by a recess-head screw) and reversing to fit the opposite way.

The most unusual feature of the Reflex range is the way the heads are connected to the stems by a nylon ball stud. The base of the stud is moulded into the head casing, forming an integral part of the head assembly—and the protruding ball is clamped into the fixed position on the stem by tightening the two parts of the stem top by Means of the recess head screw. This gives greater manceuvrability—and the joint is rust proof.

A non-staining rubber washer eliminates fouling of paintwork and a plastics cap which fits to the underside of the mounting bolt stops dirt and grime from fouling or contaminating the spring mechanism of the mirror stem.

Two-car Transporter ANEW two-car transporter, model 4P60L, has been added to the range of trailers available from Richard Maurice Equipment Co. Ltd. The 4P60L is designed to carry two cars each up to 15-ft. 8-in, long and weighing 30 cwt.

Construction is of hollow rectangular tube and suspensions are of independent rubber, having a progressive rate and high damping action. The frame is 22 ft. long--the wheel channels incorporate fold-back extensions over the drawbar to overcome the length limitation. Wheel channels and loading ramps are of heavy-gauge galvanized expanded 'metal—this gives good tyre grip and drainage and is comparatively light. By using both undertruss and overtruss reinforcement a high degree of rigidity ol the long frame is achieved and on full load there is no deflection of the frame. A further feature of the transporter is low -loading—the 6-ft. ramps give an incline of only I in 7.
