Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TTHERE must be few vehicles operating ing farther south than the Albions shown in the accompanying illustrations. They are employed by Messrs. Sociedad Explotadora de Tierra del Fuego, Magallanes, Chile, in Tierra del Fuego, the group of islands lying at the extreme southerly tip of South America, between the Magellan Strait and Cape Horn.

All the islands are rugged and mountainous, and it is said to be difficult to find an acre of level land. The climate is extremely wet and stormy all the year round and the ground is covered with a thick bed of soaked peat.

Under these arduous conditions, Albion vehicles are giving excellent service—one of them since 1912! The vehicle shown on the left—a 8-tonner —was purchased during that year. Some two years ago„ the original solidtyred wheels were replaced by pneumatic equipment. All the company's drivers have been trained on this vehicle and it still carries regularly a 3-ton load.

The machines shown on the right are two of three Albion 5-6-tonners purchased since 1927. The operator comments, after testifying to their economy and reliability : "On an average, these lorries run approximately 25,000 miles per annum over tracks which, in England, would be impassable, but outside a few broken front springs, we are not bothered with breakdowns."
