Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LEN MATTHEWS, who retired as managing director of Heavy Transport (EEC) Ltd towards the end of last year, was up in town again from St Austell on business last week.

His successor, F. W. Goldsworthy, wasn't to attend a Transport Association meeting at the Wardorf Hotel, so Len came along to represent him, and this gave TA chairman Jack Garn the chance to thank Len for past services.

Len also belonged to the RHA, being on its national council in the Sixties, can't remember how long he has been in the Transport Association, but he believes it is a "wonderful organisation".

For those who don't know the TA, it's an exclusive organisation, but since last week one member more by the addition of Reive and Grossart Ltd. Applicants have to produce their financial figures for scrutiny. I wonder how many get turned down?

In these days, it must pay to belong to an organisation with a membership which can pay you for sure — when the situation arises.
