Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NEW lightweight demountable body system for commercial vehicles up to 7.38 tons gvw has been introduced by Adcliffe Engineering Ltd.

The bedframe is designed to give strength and durability with the minimum of excess weight, and, constructed of high quality steel, it can increase the normal payload by four hundredweight.

The lightweight bedframe is lifted clear of the chassis by four powerful rams, after which four legs are mechanically lowered and locked into place. The rams are then retracted until contact is made between the legs and the ground.

The self-centring system features retractable twistlocks for safe and rapid body attachment.

The extended stroke and very short closed length are claimed to ensure safe chassis/ram clearance for over the kerb use.

An electrohydraulic powerpack powers front and rear pairs of rams independently for easy demounting on uneven ground.

Adcliffe Engineering is at The Outwoods, Rempstone Road, Goleorton, Leicestershire (Tel: (0530) 222010).

ONE OF THE largest users of Rolls-Royce power in the Yemen, Ahmed A. S. Sherbani, has become the Shrewsbury-based company's new distributor in the Arab republic.

A special maintenance division servicing commercial diesels in Tiag, Sanaa and Hodeidah — a result of the company's long-standing relationship with Rolls-Royce — will strengthen R-R's coverage in the Middle East where it is already represented in most areas.
