Colin Holmes, 40, British Railways assistant station manager at Norwich, has been appointed depot superintendent at Bristol of National Carriers Ltd.
Michael Birch has been appointed service manager for Guy Motors Ltd. Mr. Birch, who joined Guy as a trainee in 1958, left in 1964 to join one of Guy's distributors; he rejoined the Guy service department in 1966 as technical engineer.
C. King-Smith has been appointed managing director of W. lnson and Son Ltd., hauliers. of Barford. Warwick. M. King-Smith was a development engineer with London Transport until joining the firm in 1966. F.C. King-Smith, the retiring managing director, will remain on the board, while C.A. Goddard will continue as transport manager. A.K. Poison has been appointed assistant engineer of the Northern General Transport Co. Ltd., as from March 1 in succession to J.G. Winn, who has taken up the appointment of chief engineer of East Yorkshire Motor Services Ltd. Mr. Poison took up his present appointment as engineer of the Mexborough and Swinton Traction Co. Ltd. in January 1968.
Col. D.H. Cameron of Lochiel and W. Nicholson, who represented the Transport Holding Co.. have resigned from the board of David MacBrayne Ltd. The MacBrayne shares were held by the THC but have now been transferred to the Scottish Transport Group.
