• The Northern Area LA has approved the introduction of cheap fares for pensioners at off-peak periods on Teeside Corporation's bus undertaking. During the first year of operation 10,000 passes are expected to be issued and the cost will be £29,000. The system will start on April 1. Men over the age of 65 and women over 60 will travel at half-fare at nonpeak hours. • Referring to recent increases in fares in Aberdeen it was stated in Commerr;a1 Motor January 24 that eight stages may be travelled for 6d. This should have read six stages, i.e. 1-2 stages 3d; 3-6 stages 6d; over six stages 9d.
