• Two orders valued at over firn completed a successful year for Bristol Commercial Vehicles Ltd., whose sales in 1968 exceeded those of the previous year by just over 30 per cent.

Largest of the above orders was received from Ribble Motor Services Ltd. for 56 Bristol RESL 16 ft. 6in. wheelbase chassis. These single-deckers will feature Gardner 6HLX engines and semi-automatic transmission. The remaining 16 chassis are RELL models for Leicester City Transport and will have Leyland 680 engines.
