• Forty Atlanteans with power steering, spring brakes and an exhaust brake have been ordered by Sheffield Corporation Transport, the largest single order among over E4m.-worth for this Leyland double-decker which have just been received.
The Sheffield models will have 79-seat Park Royal bodies with raised driving position and dual-entrance layout suitable for one-man operation. Similar features have been specified on 15 Atlanteans for Teesside municipal undertaking
