To facilitate the use of time-sating suction loading of glass, this recent addition to the large Bedford fleet of T. & W. 1de Ltd., London, has a four-section opening roof The roof frame is in alloy sections on four outrigger hinges to each, and is panelled in translucent glass fibre; central runways dispose of rainwater. As shown in an inset, the roof panels open to hang at the sides. The main body is framed in hardwood, panelled with colour-impregnated glass .fibre, and the interior racks are built onto angle-iron trestles and faced with felt-covered boards to support the glass. Built by Motor Bodies (Stratford Ltd., London E.15 on a 5-ton TK chassis-cab, the body is 16 ft. long and will
carry plates up to 126 in. high.
