AFTER the applicants had agreed with the objectors to an amendment of the conditions, a B licence for 20 tippers was granted to M. C. Peirce Ltd., of Cippenham, Slough, by Mr. D. I. R. Muir, the Metropolitan L.A., on Wednesday.
Conditions of the original application were: Roadbuilding and excavated materials (excluding tarmac) for motorways and special roads, and to and from pits owned by Richard Costain (Civil Engineering) Ltd., within 25 miles, and these were amended to: roadbuilding and excavated materials (excluding tarmac, asphalt, hot-coated stone, concrete-making aggregates and mortar sand) for motorways and special roads, and to and from pits owned by Richard Costain (Civil Engineering) Ltd., within 25 miles, and roadbuilding materials for Costain from pits owned or leased by Costain. within 25 miles. A short-term grant for 14 tippers will be surrendered.
