MR. S. D. H. POLLEN has been appointed a director of the Cape Asbestos Co., Ltd.

WrIca SMITH, at present chief engineer of East Midland Motor Services, Ltd. Mr. Wyke Smith is chairman of the East Midlands section -of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers.

MR. R. E. Durititta., who has been chief engineer of the Lincolnshire Road Car Co., Ltd., since 1943, will retire on March 31. Since he began his career in 1927, Mr. Dunhill has been chief engineer of East Midland Motor Services, Ltd., and Southdown Motor Services, Ltd. He has also been area engineer of the Eastern National Omnibus Co., Ltd.

MR. S. R. MILLER, chairman of Fletcher Miller, Ltd., has been appointed to the board of C. C. Wakefield and Co., Ltd., following Wakefield's acquisition of the Fletcher Miller group. Two Fletcher Miller directors, MR. A. GEORGE and MR. R. T. MILLER, have been made directors of Wakefield-Dick Industrial Oils, Ltd. New Fletchei Miller directors are MR. J. C. CRAGG (Wakefield's Stanlow Works manager), MR. J. W. MACMAHON (general manager of the Industrial Lubricants Division of Wakefield-Dick Industrial Oils, Ltd.) and MR. L. J. WINDRIDGE (secretary of WakefieldDick Industrial Oils, Ltd.).
