Repair and Maintenance Kit THE Loctite Repair and Preventive Maintenance Kit is claimed by the makers to be a method of solving many persistent maintenance problems. It comprises five types of sealing material which can be used for a variety of jobs, including building up of bearing housings and making permanent fixtures of studs even when the threads are badly worn. It is also claimed to have properties enabling nuts and bolts to be locked during operation, but nevertheless, to be easy to dismantle.

Included in the kit is a 50 c.c. bottle of pipe seal which it is claimed will not only 1111 and seal coarse and fine pipe threads even when damaged, but will lock elbows or other fittings at any required angle without the need for locking nuts. It requires no hemp or other filling material and is applied simply through the nozzle supplied with the bottle. Bursting strength is equivalent to that of the pipe on which it is used.
