Mregret to record the deaths of Mr. tanley Eades, Mr. Bertram Harrison, Mr. A. A. Holford, Mr. J. Millar and Mr. J. E. Palmer.

Mr. Eades, of Baslow, Derbyshire, ran the first local bus service between Chesterfield and Saslow, many years ago. He was 61.

Mr. Harrison was a director of Beal's Warehousing and Haulage Ltd., Newark, and was aged 74. He was killed in a car collision near Lincoln.

Mr. Holford retired from the tyre sales division of The North British Rubber Co. Ltd. in 1952 after 28 years' service. He lived at Weston-super-Mare and was 78.

Mr. Millar, a well-known Cupar (Fife) haulier, was 83. He started his business just after the First World War as a oneman concern with a horse and cart. The business is being carried on by his two sons.

Mr. Palmer was chief engineer of The Zenith Carburetter Co. Ltd. until his retirement in 1959. He was 81.
