Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WITH the extended use of plastics in body construction, the need has arisen for repair kits embracing all the essential materials for dealing with local cracks which may follow a moderately severe impact, or other form of smallarea damage.

This need has been met by Messrs. Micron Plastics, Harefield Road, • Rickmansworth, with their Microbond series of repair kits. These contain cellobond polyester resin mixed with special fillers, glass mat and the catalyst and accelerator necessary to cure the resin.

Details of methods of repair, which are simple to carry out, are included with each kit There are certain risks attendant upon the use of portable electrical appliances direct off the mains voltage, but they can be materially reduced by employing a transformer to lower the mains voltage to a safe level. Foster Transformers, Ltd., South Wimbledon, London. S.W.19, are responsible for a range of instruments covering practically every requirement in this respect. Where applicable, they comply with B.S.794.

For inputs of 200-250v. single phase, 50 cis. supplies, output for lighting circuits is 25v., and for tools I 10v. Transformers are also available with 14 secondary tappings giving voltages from 115v. to 5v.

Xzit (G B.), Ltd., 175 Piccadilly, London, W.1, are responsible for an oils fuel additive which, it is claimed, will soften and break up the binders in carbon and lower its ignition point.

By so doing, hard deposits are prevented from accumulating and the rings are kept free. Better compression is said to be maintained and thus blow-by, which leads to contamination of the crankcase oil, is .reduced. One of the benefits claimed for its use is a -reduction in engine wear.
