Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ARADIO was playing in a bus when it was involved in an accident at a corner. When the, driver was fined for careless driving at Nottingham last week, the chairman of the bench, Cllr. H. C. C. Carlton, said: " It is perhaps not for us to say, but here is a bus approaching an admittedly dangerous corner. We feel a distraction of that sort is an unnecessary complication."

It was stated for the driver, Gerald James Thomas. aged 48, Abbey Road, Beeston, Notts, that the accident was not because of lack of care but bad visibility. He pleaded not guilty.

The bench drew attention to the matter of the radio, which ,might have had a bearing on the accident.

Cllr. Carlton is also chairman of the comity road safety committee.
