Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CHILLED TRANSPORT specialist NET Distribution is launching a consultancy arm as it explores the viability of expanding into the non-food sector.

The Derbyshire firm was recently the subject of a management buyout from Northern Foods; new MD David Frankish hopes the consultancy will attract new customers.

"One of the drawbacks of being part of Northern Foods was that some food manufacturers saw trading with WI' as trading with the competition. Being independent will help," he says.

Business services director Charles Stephens says the firm will develop logistics solutions for other companies.

"We're doing planning and analysis work for retailers who want to take advantage of some of our expertise," he adds Frankish hints that the firm may be looking at expanding into tht non-food area. He points out tha the consultancy work will offer E chance to investigate new areas o the supply chain.

We won't [get into new areas without thorough research throng the consultancy work," he add. "There are plenty of non-food gm ceries we're comfortable with."
