Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE TRANSAID CHARITY has teamed up with Bibby Distribution to train ambulance drivers to become trainers and assessors in Kenya.

Transaid, which is helping to set up a transport management system for Kenya's Ministry of Health, enlisted Bibby's driverdevelopment manager Brian Riddle and regional driver-trainer Dave Smith to lead the course.

Riddle explains: "Initially the drivers thought that if they failed they would be sacked, but vve reassured them. By the end they were able to identify the faults and weaknesses of other drivers and even write a report."

Within two weeks, Riddle and Smith taught 23 Kenyan ambulance drivers how to teach and assess other drivers. Riddle envisages follow-up trips next year to reassess the assessors.

Smith points out that some major differences in the road transport systems between the UK and Kenya had to be taken into account: "Camels in the road and potholes big enough to swallow the front of a car are just a couple of the hazards we had to deal with."

Bibby Distribution is a strong supporter of Transaid and this is Riddle's third Transaid overseas placement. He has previously conducted training of trainers in Uganda and Malawi.
