• NAILSWORTH, Giouces tershire-based RDS Technolo gy has designed and built thi Hi-Wire Detector, available fo £250, to warn drivers with tip ping trailers, loaders and hyd raulically operated cranes, o overhead electric cables.
The unit, which gives an au dihle and visual warning, i wired into the vehicle's elec trical system. It detects cur rent fields by use of a roof mounted aerial.
The system detects domes tic voltages from 240v up to 51 metres and overhead powe cables carrying 11,000v up ti 200m. Circle Turbo 62 fo more information.
