• RECOVERING an accident damaged vehicle by lifting it off the road in order to lessen the possibility of a fire caused by the combination of a fractured fuel tank and friction between vehicle and road, is not compulsory.
But Lawrence Steward, proprietor of L J Steward, believes it soon will be mandatory, and has therefore invested in a five-tonne capacity Cormach 5000E2 crane mounted on a Ford Cargo 7.5tonne chassis.
Steward is more than pleased" with the Italian built Cormach and its importer COTIL, of Hythe Hill, Colchester, Essex.
