Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• FORD DEALERS now have instant access to technical service information on every Ford light commercial vehicle and car produced since 1984. Oasis (On-line Automotive Service Information System) allows dealers to call details of model, body style, colour, engine and transmission and information on warranty cover and latest technical data. It is, in effect, a computer terminal with a printer rather than a screen.

Director of service Tony Brigden says: "This an indus try first. There is, simply, nothing like this available elsewhere at the moment.

"We believe it will lead to a significant improvement in the workshop efficiency of our dealer network."

The scheme has already proved successful in North America. In Britain, Oasis handles more than 25,000 inquiries a month from 400 Ford main dealers. A substantial proportion of the remaining 700 retail dealers are expected to adopt the system over the coming months.
