Building work has started on a £5m centre for Gerard Mann in Birmingham on what was once the site of a brewery. In Scotland another truck and car dealership, Derwent of Belisha has opened a £1 million centre on a green fields site south of Glasgow.
Key Mercedes-Benz truck outlet Western Commercial at Newbridge, near Edinburgh. has invested £750,000 in redevelopment.
In Guildford, Puttocks, has spent £1.5m on redevelopment, including a new commercial vehicles outlet, and £800,000 has been spent on a new truck centre by H&L Garages at Immingham.
Other multi-million pound truck and car dealerships in various parts of Britain are at the planning stage.
