Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Renault has dropped the super-mini Renault 5 carderived-van from its UK commercial line-up. The company claims that the market is in "slight decline", and it plans to concentrate its efforts on the Extra, Trafic and Master.

Renault has found pricing the car-derived 5 van against the purpose-built Extra van increasingly difficult in recent years, as the cost of the righthand-drive conversion, the additional steel panels, and the dashboard changes, makes the R5 more expensive than the larger Extra van.

Dropping the R5 van will allow more R5 cars to come from France.

Renault hopes its existing customers for the R5 van will switch to the Extra van in the future, and it looks likely that Thomas Cook travel company will do just that.
