Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• H J Groeneveld, managing director of Groeneveld Transport Efficiency BV of Gorinchem, Netherlands, has been presented by Prince Claus with the King Willem I Plaque in the Environment and Energy Category. The company, says Groeneveld, has a policy of innovation towards environmentally sound products to reduce maintenance costs, one of these being its automatic grease lubrication system.

The amount of grease used, he says, is considerably reduced because of accurate dosage for each lubrication point.

The consistency of the grease (grade NLGI 0) is such that more of it stays in the bearing and causes less pollution to the road.

"The electronic speed and revolution regulator is a product which means savings for the entrepreneur and the environment," he says. "For the entrepreneur the savings are financial: lower fuel consumption, reduced engine and tyre wear (due to lower maximum speeds); for the environment: less emission of dangerous substances (due to driving at lower speeds)."

• David Lingham joins Glasurit from Hoechst UK where he was business group manager — films. He started his career in the Plastics Division of ICI in 1968 and joined Hoechst in 1974.
