The Confederation ;h uld listen to some of those verators who are in favour of he changes." put Mr Quin told CM this vOk that he has tried to urrange a discussion with Mr iwinnard for the last 10 years.
,I would wish to know the riews of any member who has ;ornething significant to say, wen though they must then )e Set in the overall context of he industry."
He says he has corres)onded with Mr Swinard and las had telephone conversaions with him, but has been triable to meet him for a unper discussion. 1 "That is not my fault: I have invited Don Swinard to come and see me at any convenient time when he is in London and I have offered to make a special journey to see him.
"He never found it convenient within a period during which a date could actually be fixed, and the matter drifted until the next time I renewed the suggestion."
Mr Quin says Mr Swinard is being inaccurate in saying that "Denis Quin has yet to ask me for my opinions", and says his views will be welcome.
But he added: "He will equally recognise that it is not my function to represent individual operators as opposed to the collective view expressed by those democratically elected to represent their interests in CPT."
