Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

America's Super Boss and Australia's Waltzing Matilda, the drag-racing lorries of which I wrote on March 30, now have a British rival. It is the Bandag Bullet, a much modified Ford D1314 120 tipper chassis which, driven by Roy Crowther, of Todmorden, has reached 108.2 mph and covered a 'standing quarter mile in 19.91 sec, passing the post at 67.56 mph.

If Bandag retreaded tyres will withstand the kind of treatment that they get on the Bullet they will cope with anything. The modified 300bhp Ford Turbo II Dorset diesel engine, with turbo.charger and and intercooling system, driving through a prototype six-speed gearbox and Eaton two-speed rear axle, does its best to tear them off the wheels.

Terry Drury Racing, of Steeple, Essex, built the lorry, which is raced by Pennine Promotions. The credit list is reminiscent of a feature film, omitting only the name of Roy Crowther's barber,
