WITH 130 well-illustrated and text-packed pages, this latest edition of a popular annual is one of the best examples of value for money in its field.
Gavin Booth has drawn upon the resources of 19 of the bestknown bus writers to corn pile,a series of features on subjects which range from the development of Anglo-Scottish coach services to the distintegration of London's trolleybus system.
Current developments are covered by items or Tyne and Wear PTE, Ulsterbus, and the 49 municipal undertakings which survive in Britain, while, in the year when coach service licensing has suddenly become a hot issue, there is a look back to the earliest days of longdistance coach services.
On a more personal line, there are entertaining accounts of a the life of a one-time Australian bus driver, and of especial interest to CM's team, some recollections of transport journalist John Aldridge's more memorable jobs.
