FERRYMASTERS, the big haulage company in the P and 0 European Transport Services group, has just taken delivery of 40 new MercedesBenz tractive units.
The units are all 1619S versions, some being sleeper cabs with two fold-up bunks. All are powered by V6 engines developing 196bhp and driving through Mercedes' own eightspeed gearboxes.
Total value of the new units is around £600,000 and they were supplied by 0. G. Barnard and Sons of Stowmarket.
