Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DRIVERS of commercial vehicles up to 16 ewe, operating within five miles of their base, have been warned by the T.R.T.A. this week to maintain their records.

The new ROad Traffic Act contains an exemption for this class of vehicle but, warns Mr. H. R. Featherstone, T.R.T.A. national secretary, this exemption does not apply until a date has been determined by the Minister of Transport. Other provisions of the Act also do not become operative until the appropriate orders or regulations are made. The T.R.T.K. are producing a special leaflet summarizing ,and explaining the new regulations on the subject of lone. wide and projecting loads.

The leaflet is a reprint of an article . by the national secretary, published in this month's bulletin issued to members. In this article Mr. Featherstone comments that it was satisfactory to note that " many of the hardest features of-the original draft proposals on which the Association was consulted many months ago, have been modified or removed by the Ministry."
