MELBOURNE ORDER FOR A.E.C.: A fleet of 100 A.E.C. Regal Mk. VI underfloorengined. single-deck bus chassis has been ordercd•by the Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board; This order brings the total number of A.E.C. chassis ordered by this undertaking to .265.
LEY LANDS FOR IRISH FUEL Three of die large oil company's Irish subsidiaries have placed orders with Leyland Motors, Ltd., for a total of sevenOctopus chassis. All the orders were placed through Leyland's Dublin agents, Ashenhurst Williams and Co., Ltd., Talbot Place, Dublin. Irish Shell and BP., Ltd., have ordered three Octopus chassis. Light alloy tanks with a capacity of 4,500 gal, of aviation fuel are to be fitted by the Blackrock Engineering Works, Ltd. Thomas Dockrell, Sons and Co., Ltd., are supplying 3,600-gal, tanks for two Octopus chassis ordered by Caltex (Ireland); Ltd., and two Octopuses for Esso Petroleum Company (Ireland), Ltd., will have .4,300-gal. tanks fitted by Griffin Bros.
ANOTHER 1.1m. OF ORDERS: A further Elm. worth of goods and passenger chassis for South Africa have been ordered from the Leyland Group. The orders were placed through Leyland's South African subsidiary company, Leyland Albion (Africa), Ltd., and include Leyland Super Comet. Albion Super Chieftain and Albion Super Reiver chassis and Leyland Worldmaster and Albion Clydesdale single-decker bus chassis.
