Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN entirely new low-priced lightweight turbocharger will be displayed by Simms Motor Units, Ltd., at the Commercial Motor Show next month. Known as the SI, the blower is stated to be suitable for use on twoand fourstroke diesel engines with normally aspirated ratings of from 50 to 150 b.h.p. The low inertia of the rotor assembly gives rapid response to changes of speed and load, and it is claimed that high component efficiency of both compressor and turbine are achieved over a wide. operating range.

The whole • turbocharger assembly weighs only 20 lb.

Other Simms products which will be shown at Earls Court for the first time will include the 1750W 24-v. A.C. generator with built-in diodes and a twin cylinder air-cooled air compressor. The A.C. generator weighs 50 lb. which is some 40 lb. less than an equivalent D.C. machine, and can produce 60/70 amp. when the engine is idling.

Further electrical equipment on display will be a 4.5-in, concentric-type starter motor. a 4.5-in. 21-lb. D.C. generator and a 100-per-cent, transistorized control system for vehicle generating circuits which has no vibrating contacts. Fuel-injection exhibits will include a Minimec in-line pump and a fuel filter with a resin-impregnated paper replaceable element.
