T W. BLOCKLEY AND .SONS, of Heather, Leicester, are to continue solely as goods operators and J. !son, trading as V. and. M.. Coaches, of Grendon, Atherstone, Warwickshire, as a purely passenger operator, the West Midlands Traffic Corrirnissioners were told on Wednesday.
Mr. Dennis Skelding, • for Mr. Ison, applied for the trangfer of a licence, previously granted to Blockley and Sons for an express passenger service from Burion-on-Trent to Ramsgate. Mr. Ison, he said, had taken over Blockley's passenger services, paying a "quite considerable sum" for the vehicles and goodwill. In return, he had disposed of all his goods vehicles to Blockley and Sons.
Granting the application, the Commissioners' chairman, Mr. ,J Else, commented: ." Fair exchange is no rObbery. Let's hone both are satisfied-
