Meachers Global expands its fleet
MEACHERS GLOBAL Logistics has spent £500,000 on 20 new trailers to deal with growing volumes.
The Southampton-based firm's investment follows the recent announcement of two new strategic partnerships: the first is with Red Funnel Distribution, where it will collect and deliver goods to Southampton port for Red Funnel
the !second is a substantial trunking deal with TNT, anflounced in August.
Stuart Terris, deputy MD at Meachers, says: -Since we rebranded a year ago from Meachers Group, customers have been alert to the fact that we offer more than just transport.
"1 would say 70% of our clients are now using more than just one service, compared with some 40% before the name change."
