Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

rAA MOBILE crane with a number of unusual features is being used by the Metropolitan Water Board, of Sydney, Australia. Of two-wheeled, semi-trailer design, it is permanently coupled to a Leyland Comet tractor through a tower mounted on a urn table. The object of the tower is to bring the structure of the crane above the level of the cab, so that the vehicle can turn under the jib and thus push the crane instead of towing it.

Elevation of the jib is by a hydraulic ram incorporated in the leg of the bogie unit. A winch, carrying 166 ft.

of 1-in,-diameter wire rope. is mounted on the Comet and is operated by a power take-off on the gearbox. The hook travel is 20 ft. The outfit, which has a lifting capacity of 5 Ions, has an overall length of 36 ft. when towing and 31 ft. 6 in. when pushing.
