COL. D. A. Fows and MR. Davin SANDS have been appointed members of the Scottish Transport Users' Consultative Committee.
MR. JAMES FORBES has succeeded MR.
E. L. TavLoa. as deputy chairman of the British Travel and Holidays Association. Mr. Taylor will remain a member of the board MR. J. A. TEARE, sales manager of the South Shields branch of Adams and Gibbon, Ltd., has become manager of the Guildford depot of E. G. Bakers and Dorkin, Ltd.
MR. F. M. LovErr has been appointed service engineer of Simms Motor Units, Ltd., in South Africa, in succession to MR. J. MAUND, field service engineer and factory representative, who has returned to this 'country to take up another appointment with the company.
MR. A. W. GOSLING has joined the oil-engine division , of Armstrong Siddeley Motors, Ltd., as chief engineer. He was previously chief engineer of F. Perkins, Ltd. His apprenticeship was served with Reavell and Co., Ltd., and since then he has had many years' experience in the development of oil engines.
MR. A. H. GRAINGER has been appointed to succeed MR, J. CLIFF as deputy chairman of the London Transport Executive. He will take up his new post tomorrow. Mr. Grainger, who joined the Metropolitan Railway in 1913, has been a full-time member of the L.T.E. since their formation in 1948. News of other members of the Executive was given in The Commercial Motor last week.
