Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The 44-tanner was warmed up around the two-mile high-speed bowl at Millbrook Proving Grounds before embarking on 60 miles of constant speed testing at 40, 50 and 56mph. The laps were split into three blocks of 10. The first five of each block were run on diesel; the second five on a combination of diesel and LPG. Two meters were used to log performance.

On diesel the truck used 13.73 litres. In dual fuel mode it used 53% less diesel, with 7,23 litres of LPG displacing the 4.76 litres of diesel, The combination of diesel/LPG is greater in volume as LPG produces less energy so more of it is needed to match the performance of diesel. At the two higher speeds LPG kicked in with greater diesel displacement.

We used benchmark figures of £1.05/lit of diesel and 40p/lit of LPG.
