SMITHS INDUSTRIES has formed a new company to provide specialist sales and technical support in the market for auxiliary heating on commercial and public service vehicles. Known as Hefec Engineering (based at Station Lane Industrial Estate, Witney), the new company takes over the responsibilities formerly carried out by the Custom Build/Service unit of Smiths Industries Vehicle Heater Company. .
At the centre of Hefac's activities will be the range of VVebasto oil burning heaters for which the company is sole UK distributor. The range is claimed to cover almost every commercial and public service vehicle application.
