SUZUKI is launching a passenger version of its SJ410 light 4X4 range at the Motor Show.
The three-model range (van, pick-up, and passenger), with 20 per cent more power, replaces the two-model LJ80 range sold in Britain since 1979.
Two-seater van and soft top versions have a load carrying capacity of 210kg (4621b) and 240kg (5291b) while the passenger model provides seating for four persons and allows 60kg luggage. A further 7 5 Okg (1,6531b) can be towed in a braked trailer.
A 970cc four-cylinder ohc petrol engine with an alloy head and five bearing crankshaft, develops 33.5kW (45bhp) DIN at 5,500rpm and maximum torque of 73N m (54Ibft) at 3,000rpm.
The five-speed synchromesh gearbox is backed by a twospeed transfer box allowing for two-wheel drive in high ratio and four-wheel drive in both high and low ratio.
