Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Vidor V.18 6V battery made by Crompton Parkinson is now being marketed in a container made of high impact polystyrene. It is the first time that a battery of this type has been available in the UK in a plastics container.

The battery is designed for roadside warning lamps, security and built-in fire alarm systems, ordinary lanterns and hand (amps and the new type of container has many advantages over the metal-clad and cardboard-wrapped versions. These include better protection of the battery in wet conditions, no leakage from the cells should the battery be left on accidentally for long periods and high resistance to impact. Size of the container is 2.625in. square and 4.5in. high, including terminals.

Made by: Crompton Parkinson Ltd, 95 Aldwych, London WC2.
