3eneral Utility Trailer A NEW, trailer, the FF13 general utility, is being added to the –1 range of Tollbridge Trailers Ltd. This is a close-coupled, 'our-wheel trailer designed for all types of load from pigs, beep and farm machinery to bricks, builders plant and other general loads. It has 1-ft.-high fixed sides plus 2-ft.-high letachable sides and a 3-IL-high tailboard, which doubles up ts a loading ramp, and a heavy-duty geared winch.
The FB3 trailer is constructed on a rolled-steel chassis and has independent suspension by rubber torsion units on all four wheels. Drum brakes on all wheels are operated through a rod linkage system by an overrun device on the hitch, and a ratchet handbrake is fitted, The fixed sides, frontboard, tailboard and the 14-ft. by 5-ft. 10-in. _platform are of pine planking on a rolled-steel frame. The detachable sides are for light, bulky loads and these are of slatted wood.
A heavy-duty geared winch, fitted to the 'towbar, is designed to ease the movement of awkward loads up the ramp. Dropstands are fitted to boththe rear corners to steady the trailer while loading, and a telescopic'. jockey-wheel fitted to the towbar serves a similar purpose.. Sparking Plug Cleaner NOW available from Norwood (Precision Products) Ltd. is an inexpensive, pocket-size sparking plug cleaner. This takes the form of a ‘n-in.-long cylinder on to which any I4-mm. plug can be screwed. The cylinder is filled with a large number of sharply pointed needles—so. that when shaken up and down carbon is chipped from the, rim and insulator of the plug. leaving the points clean. This cleaner has been tested and proved by leading racing motor cyclists and is claimed to be virtually indestructible. Self-Service Wash PAA LTHOUGH designed primarily for garage Use, a new selfservice vehicle wash, called the Wanda, is also suitable for fleet usage. It is to be marketed in the U.K..by Atcost.(Engineering) Ltd. This is supplied as a complete installation ready for immediate use on connection to an electricity and gas supply. Basically it consists of a spray wand and nozzle, pump, motor, tank, water heater and water softener, and is supplied complete with all fittings and controls, including coin-operated meter. Water is filtered and softened and the cleaning agent is a specially compounded detergent which is forced by high-pressure pumps through the hose and out of the wand at 500 psi.
The standard equipment provides two washing stations. These take up only a small amount of ground space and, if convenient, one of them can be stored inside.
Operation is simple. First, pressure on the detergent button releases warm detergent solution from the. wand in a powerful, fan-shaped mist. After about three minutes the rinse button is pressed. providing warm. soft water to washdown the vehicle. The whole operation takes approximately five minutes.

Forecourt Air Reel
ONE of the new items being shown by Kismet Ltd. at the Motor Show this week is a small, sPring-loaded, forecourt air reel. This contains 30 ft. of 11G-in.-bore air hose which terminates with a quick-fix coupling to which a tyre inflator can be attached. The reel is suitable for outdoor installation and may be fixed to the ground, overhead or On a vertical surfape. It is constructed of steel, except for the main shaft, which is of brass with ground hard chrome surface to avoid • corrosion. The hearings are of the " needle " type and the spring box is packed with grease on assembly. No lubrication is required.

Wheel Balancer
BEING shown by Laycock Engineering 'Ltd. at the Motor Show is a new, on-the-car wheel balancer which uses the stroboscopic light system. This balancer, suitable for use with commercial vehicles, is a one-piece compact unit which is both • light and simple to use. Electric Windscreen Washer FEATURED on the stand of Waso Ltd. at the Motor Show this week is a new electric windscreen washer, suitable for use with commercial vehicles. It provides continuous highpressure washing (14-2 psi. at the nozzles) which eleminates hazardous blind spots. The nylon water container has a capacity of 2-1 pints. The washer, available with 6-. 12and 24-V motors._ operates with a rating of 12W.
