Scottish Bus Group's orders for 1965, under which 240 new vehicles will be purchased at a total cost of £1,510,805. Three types of vehicle are to be pur.chased, comprising 82 Bristol Lodekkas with 70-seat, forward-entrance Eastern Coach Works bodies, 55 Daimler Fleetlines with 75-seat Alexander bodies (as announced in The Commercial Motor, September II, 1964)-and 103 Leyland Leopard single-deckers with 49-seat Alexander bodies.
The Fleetlines are for Western S.M.T., and the remaining vehicles will be allocated as follows: Scottish Omnibuses —25 Lodekkas; W. Alexander and Sons (Midland) Ltd.-52 Leopards; W. Alexander and So,,s (Fife) Ltd.-14 Lodekkas; W. Alexander and Sons (Northern) Ltd.4 Leopards: Western S.M.T. Co. Ltd.-47 Leopards: and Central S.M.T. Co. Ltd.-43 Lodekkas.
