Ltd., with the suggestion that Operators, Ltd., who control the dd• Street station, be allowed to tnage the new station, When this mosal was rejected, they are stated have replied that they could not recommend their members to use it.

An official of Park DeveloPments has since spent some time visiting Operators in the provinces, all of whom, he told The Commercial Motor, intimated their willingness to use the station.

Variations of conditions of existing primary licences and backings after Janirary 1 will be granted more or less automatically on application to the Metropolitan Licensing Authority.

The terms for the use of the station will initially be based on those at present in force at Judd Street. Users will be required to grant an agency to Park Developments as a condition of use, but they are willing to co-operate with existing booking and charting organizations.

The site, which covers an area of 26,000 sq. ft., consists at present of a bombed area and a factory. Work on demolishing the existing buildings is to begin almost immediately. By January 1 a temporary building, housing booking and inquiry offices, a luggage department, waiting and refreshment rooms, and a drivers' canteen and rest room, will be completed. It is hoped that the design will include a row of shops on the 220-ft. frontage on Pentonville Road. The station will be manned 24 hours a day.

Its capacity is expected to be a little less than that Of Judd Street—the site area is some 4,000 sq ft. less—but it is hoped that up to 75 vehicles an hour will he dealt with comfortably.
