This chassis, with cowl, weighs 1 ton 16 cwt. 11 qr. in basic form, but an allowance of 2 cwt. 31 qr. is required

when the Gil engine is fitted, and the two-speed axle weighs 1 cwt. more.

The new 2-tormer has an 11-ft. 2-in. wheelbase and weighs 1 ton 11 cwt: as a chassis with cowl. It has a maximum gross rating of 6 tons, but with the standard 6.50-20-in. 8-ply-rating tyres its total weight should not exceed 51 tons.

In the distribution of the load, I/ tons is permitted on the front axle and 41 tons on the rear. The same sixcylindered 68 b.h.p. engine is employed as in the 5-tonners, the maximum torque being 174 lb.-ft, at 1,000 r.p.m. Tyres of 7.50-20-in, of 10-ply rating are offered as an alternative.

With the petrol engine, the standard 5-ton long-wheelbase chassis is listed at £781, the short-wheelbase model at £763 and the 2-tonner at £617. The maximum lengths of the body space from the edge of the steering wheel are 19 ft., 13i ft. and 16 ft, respectively.
