A PROPOSAL by the Ministry of Transport to make a new regulation on the prohibition of smoking in public service vehicles has been rejected by operators, who believe that the matter should continue to be left to their discretion.
A suggestion by the British Travel and Holidays Association that coach operators should take part in a conference on holiday-taking in this country has also failed to find favour.
