AHAULIER was fined a total orĀ£3 at Shrewsbury last week for failing to keep a record of the animals he had carried, also for failing to give information concerning 78 pigs which he brought to market on August 4.

Mr. I. Chatfield, prosecuting for Shrewsbury Corporation, said that the defendant, Joseph Joyner, Standwardine, Baschurch, brought the pigs to Shrewsbury market and was asked by an attendant at the gate how many animals he was carrying. Joyner replied thathe had about 60, but this figure was found to be incorrect.

Joyner said that he did not realize that it was his duty to give the number of pigs.
