■ 1 the event of the denationalization of road passenger transport, municipal terests should be safeguarded and the iportunity given to any council of quiring those parts of nationalized dertakings which serve areas in or fiacent to a municipality.
This was one of the points made to e Minister of Transport by the Muniaal Passenger Transport -Association zing recent discussions.
The Association believed that area hemes in the form proposed under the 47 Act were not desirable. They were The opinion that any body set up in given area to administer _road pasager transport should consist mainly locally elected representatives.
If it was the Government's intention at some undertakings should continue

The Association would also welcome opportunity to discuss with the nister certain sections of the Road affic Act, 1930, if it was the intention any time to review the Act. They re particularly concerned with the :ration of contract carriages by munialities, the effects of Sections 101 and
