THE ROAD Haulage Association is going ahead with plans for its fourth overseas conference next year.
Following the attraction of over 400 delegates to its Portuguese conference last month, the RHA is running its 1986 conference at Sorrento, Italy from November 1 to 9.
As in previous years, it is being sponsored by Leyland Trucks and balances business sessions with excursions and light-hearted events.
The venue for its 1987 conference has still to be announced, but it is possible that a venue closer to Britain may be selected to appeal to those who prefer not to go abroad.
• Home Secretary Douglas Hurd is to speak at the RHA's annual dinner in Lon-__ don on May 6 next year.
