The Global Live Cycle Scanner uses a scanner and six sensors along the nearside of a vehicle to detect a cyclist while providing live video pictures. When a cyclist enters the blind spot, Cycle Scanner warns the driver and the operator at base with automatic alerts. Images of every journey are recorded and transmitted using a CCTV system along with GPS location data, enabling the operator to provide information in the event of an accident.
It costs £899, plus installation, which includes the scanner, sensors, live CCTV system, and access to the web portal interface.
