Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I have ever written to a publication, but having read the letter in CM 16 May I felt that I had to, especially after seeing some of the reports about lorries running away when coupling-up.

The one factor that seems to come across is that the handbrake on the unit is not engaged prior to coupling the suzies, not just that the trailer brakes were not on, as the lorry will still run away when the trailer brake is released if the unit handbrake isn't engaged.

If not, I am wrong after 52 years in transport.
