• A prototype of Iveco Ford Truck's 10.7m double-deck Turbocity bus is expected to be on show at next month's UITP exhibition in Sweden.

The British debut of the Walter Alexander-bodied bus is scheduled for October at the Bus and Coach show in Birmingham.

It is believed to be powered

by a rear-mounted Iveco 9.5litre diesel engine and has a hightensile steel chassis, with a virtually flat floor reached by two shallow steps.

When IFT first announced its plan to break into the big bus market it said the double-deck would be the first in a UK range of Iveco Ford PCVs.
